Frequency Specific Microcurrent (FSM) Q & A

What is FSM?

Frequency Specific Microcurrent (FSM) are electrical pulses that create resonance in the tissues. You may well be asking what is resonance.  Resonance is best explained by a phenomena that most of you have probably seen.  You have probably been to a restaurant and put your finger in your glass of water and then rubbed your finger over the edge of the rim.  That creates a particular "hmmm" which is really the resonant frequency of the glass---the frequency at which the glass resonates.  And it turns out we can actually create resonance in tissues with the frequencies of the FSM units.  Because we can vary the frequencies, we can program specific frequencies for various conditions and illnesses.

We have had excellent results with such things and depression, PTSD, scar tissue, acne and many other conditions.

How does FSM work?

FSM uses a very tiny amount of electricity which is electronically converted into a pulsed DC current.  This current is then applied to the body through a very simple medium---a wet towel.  Depending on the treatment protocol a series of treatments are needed, usually 6-8 treatments.

Are the treatments painful?

A majority of patients report not “feeling anything”, a small amount report feeling a slight tingling.

How long does it take to see results?

Many patients report improvement within 2 - 3 treatments depending on the condition being treated.

How long does it last?

This varies considerably with the condition being treated.  For some conditions the treatments seem to last months to even years.  For other conditions the treatments may last a few months.  For the treatments that last a few months only, we have found that two or three “maintenance” treatments will improve their condition again.  Most patients find they would rather get a few treatments every few months than have to take medications on a daily basis.

What does FSM treat?

There are over 80 different illnesses and conditions that respond well to FSM including fibromyalgia and osteoarthritis.  Optimal Health of Southern Oregon has found that some conditions have an outstanding response including Depression, PTSD, IBS, Acne and painful scaring conditions.  Have said that nothing works for everyone all the time and FSM is no exception
